In this role you will:
- Be responsible for driving technical and operational improvements across outbound, inbound and reverse logistics journeys
- Work with TMS for Ocean, Air, and Truck freight
- You will act as a mentor and reliable team member within the growing department, providing direction and ensuring compliance on best practices, latest tools, trends and global/local market intelligence in both logistics and supply chain
- You will also be required to take part in Logistical daily and weekly tasks and evaluate Key Performance Metrics (KPMs) to determine departmental success
- Analyze all aspects of ongoing and new projects aligned to our operational efficiency strategies
- Partner with logistical vendors to build strong relationships and identifying ways to improve our implementation processes to create high impact to the customer experience
- Ideally you will be able to identify new carriers service solutions by evaluating their potential on cost and impact to our goal of supply chain process improvements
- Assist in developing new solutions to distribution challenges affecting external/internal customers while managing multiple global and domestic carrier relations and meeting business objectives
Qualifications
The Qualifications and Experience we like to see:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering or a related field
- A minimum of 5 years international and domestic freight forwarding/3PL experience in a high volume, fast moving retail and/or e-commerce transportation domain
- Expert knowledge in Ocean, Air and Truck freight is required
- Strong knowledge Transportation Management Systems in both Ocean and Truck shipments is required
- Strong knowledge of Canadian Customs Brokerage
- Certification in CITT, P.Log., CIFFA, CCLP and/or Customs Brokerage License is a definite asset
- Knowledge of Jira, Agile Methodologies and working within a Scrum is a definite asset
- Previous project management experience is essential to your success
- Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas) as well as Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
- Ability to collaborate and build strong relationships with all departments and levels both internally and externally
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities and competing deadlines
