As a Careers in Motion (CIM) Operations Student, you'll gain hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of transportation and logistics while building skills that will benefit you throughout your career. Through the CIM program, you'll make an impact through working on meaningful projects, and gain exposure to various J.D. Irving businesses, particularly within the transportation sector. You'll be part of a collaborative and supportive team environment that encourages learning, innovation, and professional development.
Atlantic Towing, part of the Transportation and Logistics Division of J.D. Irving, Limited, is seeking Operations Students based in Saint John, New Brunswick. This opportunity is ideal for a student who enjoys working in a dynamic environment, solving problems, analyzing data, and supporting customer transportation needs. The hourly range for this role is between $19.89 - $26.12.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Assist with day-to-day fleet operations and customer service commitments across Atlantic Towing's Fleets.
• Support the team with operational, maintenance, and administrative activities.
• Gain exposure to marine operations by working with vessel crews and various Atlantic Towing departments.
• Assist in monitoring fleet programs and tracking operational activities.
• Support health, safety, environmental, and compliance initiatives onboard vessels and ashore.
• Collect, organize, and analyze operational data to support reporting and decision-making.
• Participate in projects and process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Currently enrolled in an Engineering or Business undergraduate program (or related field of study)
• In positive academic standing
