The Sawmills Division of JD Irving Limited offers a unique opportunity for ambitious professionals to shape and lead our manufacturing operations. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and influence others with proven management experience, presenting to senior leaders and negotiating effectively.
  • Drive performance and business objectives with a results-oriented approach, adapting to a dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, sales, logistics, and support functions.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, manufacturing best practices, and emerging technologies to enhance our operations.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing work environment, promoting employee development and engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards, maintaining a safe and sustainable workplace.
  • Represent the company at industry events, building relationships with stakeholders and promoting our brand.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, Forestry, or a relevant field.
  • 5+ years of management experience with a successful track record of influencing others and delivering results.
  • Strong safety leadership skills and a solid understanding of manufacturing processes and business principles.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective team collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Agile mindset, adaptable to change and capable of leading organizational transformation.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools used in manufacturing and operational environments.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required for business needs.
  • Strong analytical skills for data-driven decision-making and operational problem-solving.
  • Passion for continuous learning, employee development and a commitment to operational excellence.
