JOB DESCRIPTION
As the Finance Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial direction of Irving Equipment Limited. Your expertise will be instrumental in providing financial insights and guidance to key stakeholders, including leadership and the finance and accounting teams. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the company's financial performance and overall success.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and mentor a high-performing finance/accounting team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Develop and implement robust financial planning and analysis processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Analyze internal financial data and external economic conditions to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for the business.
- Utilize financial models to forecast business performance and provide strategic recommendations to leadership.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls, maintaining the integrity of financial processes.
- Collaborate with the Director of Asset Management, General Manager, and Human Resources Manager to align financial strategies with business objectives.
- Conduct budget planning and performance reviews, working closely with leadership to optimize financial resources.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making across various business functions.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in financial planning and analysis, continuously improving our processes.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including the Systems Specialist and Director of Finance, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
QUALIFICATIONS
- University Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, with a strong academic record.
- CPA and/or CFA designation, demonstrating a high level of professional expertise and commitment.
- 4-7 years of experience in financial planning, analysis, and reporting, preferably in a dynamic business environment.
- Proven track record of leading or mentoring a finance/accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Strong background in corporate finance, with a deep understanding of financial strategies and their impact on business performance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting techniques, utilizing advanced Excel skills and relevant software.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to diverse audiences.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
