JOB DESCRIPTION
Central New Brunswick Woodlands is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator (Log Loader Operator) for our Woodlands Operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate a log loader to safely load, unload, stack, and organize logs in harvesting yards.
  • Feed logs as required to meet daily production targets.
  • Conduct thorough daily equipment inspections and complete pre‑operational checklists.
  • Perform general equipment maintenance such as greasing, cleaning, and reporting mechanical issues promptly.
  • Work collaboratively with yard staff, truck drivers, and supervisors to ensure smooth flow of log inventory.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with JDI safety and environmental standards.
  • Follow all company policies, including lock-out procedures, equipment protocols, and safety guidelines.
  • Assist with other production tasks as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 1-2 years of heavy equipment operation experience; experience with log loaders is an asset.
  • Valid equipment operator certification (or willingness to obtain through JDI training programs).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
  • Proven commitment to workplace safety.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Reliable, self‑motivated, and capable of working in a fast‑paced environment.
