JOB DESCRIPTION
Midland Transport is currently seeking a Senior Analytics Lead in Moncton, NB. The Senior Analytics Lead will serve as the Product Owner for Data and Analytics, Midland Transport's data and analytics transformation initiative. This role will lead the roadmap development, drive cross-functional collaboration, and embed Lighthouse into operational processes. The successful candidate will coach and mentor analytics professionals, uphold data governance standards, and contribute to broader analytics strategy.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead the strategic direction, roadmap, and ongoing evolution of the Lighthouse initiative, ensuring alignment with business objectives and enterprise data strategy.
• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to define data entities, prioritize enhancements, and integrate Lighthouse capabilities into operational processes.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration and support organizational change management to maximize adoption and business value.
• Oversee the performance, maintenance, and optimization of data pipelines and assets, ensuring data quality, availability, and integrity.
• Communicate initiative progress, outcomes, and value realization to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Provide leadership, coaching, training, and mentorship on data and analytics best practices.
• Identify and support development opportunities for analysts, modelers, and business users of data products and insights.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning, knowledge sharing, innovation, and data-driven decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, governance standards, and data management practices.
• Contribute to the development and execution of Midland Transport's broader data and analytics strategy.
• Maintain and expand technical, analytical, and industry expertise through continuous professional development.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Post-secondary education (university, college, or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
• 5+ years of relevant experience in product ownership, data and analytics, or leading business and technology initiatives.
• Proven track record of leading teams and delivering strategic initiatives from planning through execution.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to leverage data and insights to drive business decisions and solve complex problems.
• Ability to work independently while effectively leading and collaborating within cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in SQL for data analysis, querying, and validation.
• Experience designing, developing, and implementing reporting and analytics solutions, with Power BI experience preferred.
Assets (Preferred)
• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO), or SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) certification.
• Experience with Python and data analytics automation.
• Experience working within modern data platforms, analytics ecosystems, or enterprise data initiatives.
