JOB DESCRIPTION

Midland Transport is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant based at our Head Office in Dieppe, NB. Reporting to the Director, Driver Services and O/O Relations, the Admin Assistant is responsible for administrative duties for the department and all the Owner Operators. Also, completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning administrative projects and expediting work results.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare Onboarding documents (Painting of trucks, booking decal application and removal, truck licensing, fuel card set up)
  • Maintaining the owner operator contracts, the new owner operator set up and the owner operator Master files
  • Coordinate the Driver Meetings and events
  • Conducts the administrative functions for the department (payroll, supply purchasing, maintain department files)
  • Cuts PO for maintenance and driver services
  • Other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • You have minimum of 2 Years of experience in administrative role (Asset)
  • You have Transportation industry experience (Asset)
  • You have a High School or Trade Certification/ College Diploma
  • You have energy, enthusiasm, and a professional demeanor
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • You have exceptional communication skills both verbal and written
  • Knowledge of MS Office
  • Bilingual is considered an asset
