RESPONSIBILITIES
What You'll Do:

  • Promote a safety-focused culture - Assist in fostering proactive workplace safety measures and compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Develop and implement health & safety policies - Support the creation of guidelines, SOPs, and employee training programs.
  • Conduct incident investigations & hazard assessments - Lead thorough assessments and corrective action planning.
  • Analyze safety performance metrics - Track and report KPIs to drive data-based improvements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders & support return-to-work programs - Work with Joint Health and Safety Committees (JHSCs) to manage safety claims.

QUALIFICATIONS
What We're Looking For:

  • Experience: 5 years in health and safety roles is required; forestry or manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Education: A Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety Management is required; Certified Occupational Health and Safety designation (CRSP, CHSC, CHSE) is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of TapRoot methodology, hazard assessments, and Microsoft Office.
  • Problem-solving abilities: Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
