RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and coordinate all loads and equipment with Fleet Managers
- Coordinate with Customer Service and Dispatch on all commitments (i.e. meeting volume metrics, exceeding the needs of our customers, completing driver requirements)
- Ensure maximum utilization on all equipment (trucks, trailers, satellite, etc.); tracking trailers to ensure customer needs are met
- Coordinate trailer maintenance; ensuring property damage is thoroughly investigated and reported
- Communicate with internal departments (i.e. Maintenance, IT, Compliance, Other planners) for all operational needs
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Postsecondary education in Business; concentration in Supply Chain or Logistics considered an asset
- 2-5 years work experience; Transportation and/or Logistics experience considered an asset
- Computer software skills are essential; experience working with ERP systems considered an asset
- Superior organizational, decision-making and problem-solving abilities
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Team-oriented and results-driven
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Must be committed to quality, safety, and service
- Must be available for weekends on-call
