JOB DESCRIPTION
Our Corporate Security team is looking for a Security Systems Administrator in Saint John to administer, identify and implement improvements, maintenance and troubleshooting of various systems such as access control and video management systems (Kantech, Salto, Genetec, EasyLobby) used for security purposes across the various JDIrving businesses throughout the network.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Production of access and ID cards including adding, deleting or modifying access permissions of new and existing cardholders
- Maintenance of existing and new access levels per individual site needs
- Provide period reporting and invoicing for customers as well as inventory management for supplies and equipment
- Develop and maintain standard policies for access control and video management software
- Work with the Corporate Security team and JDI businesses to identify any issues with onsite devices (low batteries, camera or access control devices)
- Provide basic IT troubleshooting to remedy issues before escalation
- Generate weekly, monthly, yearly reports (access control activities, hardware components, access levels and camera alerts) to ensure overall site security. Facilitate regular access level reviews with each business to ensure up to date access listings
- Assist the team with on-going site setup including but not limited to the integration of new access control devices, calibration and programming camera analytics
- Configuration of mapping, linking cameras and events and other setup
QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma or Undergraduate in IT or Business Administration
- 2 - 5 years of experience or training in IT applications/business solutions
- Understanding of camera systems, access control and technology
- Strong communication and critical thinking with the ability to work independently
- Knowledge of security operations
- Previous experience using Kantech, Genetec and Salto and the usage of surveillance cameras, speakers, intercoms, video management software, access control systems and other technology pieces would be considered an asset
- Genetec Security Center Technical Certification would be considered an asset
