JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Sales Manager at the Sawmills Division Head Office, the Account Manager will be responsible for maintaining key accounts. Responsibilities would include both medium and long-term planning as well as the selling of a variety of lumber products. The Sawmills division, part of the J.D. Irving, Limited group of companies, is a major player in the production of lumber and lumber byproducts in North America. The division currently has 11 sawmills and various other production facilities throughout Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Maine.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop sales plans with existing customers
- Build and manage relationships with new and existing customers to ensure needs are met
- Identify and develop new sales opportunities within accounts and drive revenue growth
- Address and solve challenges faced by customers
- Work with operations to ensure inventory targets are met
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education - Bachelor of Business Administration (or equivalent)
- 2-5 years of sales experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage changing priorities
- Ability to work independently
- High attention to detail
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite
