JOB DESCRIPTION
The QA Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products and services. This position requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to continuous improvement to uphold our high standards and meet customer expectations.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Quality Management System (QMS) Oversight:
    • Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
    • Perform internal audits and assessments to monitor QMS effectiveness and identify areas for improvement within the QMS
    • Ensure classification compliance is upheld
    • Perform External audits with Classification/ Certification Authorities
  • Quality Assurance and Control:
    • Establish quality control procedures and inspection plans to verify product conformity and adherence to specifications
    • Oversee welder certification processes and training requirements.
    • Review and approve quality documentation, including inspection reports, test results, and non-conformance reports
    • Managing non-conformance's within the company. Ensuring root cause analysis, corrective actions are implemented and acting as a liaison between the company and customer/ regulatory body
  • Supplier Quality Management:
    • Collaborate with procurement and engineering teams to resolve supplier quality issues and improve supply chain reliability
  • Continuous Improvement Initiatives:
    • Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance product quality, reduce waste, and optimize manufacturing processes
    • Utilize quality data and metrics to drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and foster a culture of quality excellence

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in quality control/assurance management within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Quality Management, CWB Inspector or Welding Certification, Engineering degree
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001), statistical process control (SPC), and quality assurance tools
  • Welding and Blueprint knowledge
  • Ability to develop Weld Procedures

Preferred

  • Advanced degree preferred
  • Welding Supervisor Certification
  • Experience with Steel Fabrication
  • Experience with technical writing
