JOB DESCRIPTION
A Contracts Specialist is responsible for developing, improving, and overseeing JDI IT's contracts with partner organizations, clients, and suppliers. You will work with IT Leaders and legal professionals to create effective and compliant contracts and help optimize our procurement processes. The role involves ensuring that our contracts meet the company's needs and align with legal requirements, enabling delivery and protecting from risk.
RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manages or performs work associated with coordinating, negotiating, and administering contracts with suppliers/vendors
• Researching and analyzing technical, financial, and legal information as input to contract documents
• Negotiating the contract and ensuring appropriate approvals per the process
• Coordinating with the company's technical, finance or legal team to ensure the contract satisfies legal requirements and interests
• Engaging with IT vendors to discuss contract renewal options, negotiate terms and obtain service offerings
• Documenting performance and service level agreements, and engaging stakeholders to collect feedback on performance against those agreements to support negotiations
• Reviewing contract breaches and determining a response plan
• Identifying and mitigation potential risks associated with IT contract renewals, including service disruptions, vendor performance issues and contractual disputes
• Maintaining an understanding of local and federal regulations that may affect contracts

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education Required: University degree in Law or IT preferred
• Demonstrated experience in contract management
• Demonstrated experience in negotiations
• Highly focused with strong attention to the details
• Demonstrated knowledge of the IT industry (products and services)
• Self-starter, strong initiative management,
• Exceptional time management and ability to deliver on deadlines/milestones
• Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills
• Capability to manage multiple procurement activities
