RESPONSIBILITIES
Transition Planning
- Generate customer liability reports as required and facilitate weekly & monthly meetings with project teams to review risks and opportunities
- Work with multiple stakeholders to develop a transition plan for each new & transitioning SKU in accordance with the customer timeline and identify any risks/costs associated with the transition.
- Ensure the transition plan has been incorporated into the sales and operational planning process, transition & risks have been addressed, as well as costs have been minimized and approved when they cannot be avoided
- Owns the run-out plan and works with supply to identify placement of transition items, part pallets, etc.
- Facilitate monthly forecasted liability working session with Sales and Marketing identifying cost avoidance opportunities
- Generate and publish the forecasted liabilities versus budget to the business monthly
- Daily monitoring of new and transitioning items
- Provide input for the write off budget
- Escalate held items in transition process to ensure alignment with quality prior to transition
- Determine yearly accruals required
- Owns process, identifies areas of improvement to keep process efficient & raises concerns when issues are identified
- Review and revise item classifications to ensure system accuracy
- Initiates Appian stocking type changes to ensure E2 is current.
Non-Active Inventory Process
- Weekly tracking of non-active inventory and reporting
- Ensure data accuracy of reporting, provide explanation of changes
- Monthly cross-functional meeting to review plan of action
- Provide executive summary as part of S&OP process each period
New Product Introduction
- Track the development of new/printed materials to assist Supply in the launch of new products
- Work in collaboration to effectively assess risks and develop contingency plans to meet customer demand
- Ensure set up for finished goods in time to hit service & Update dashboard for the business
Support Supply Chain Initiatives
- Support Supply Chain cost savings initiatives
- Other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS
Educational Requirements: University Degree
Experience Requirements: 5-8 years of relevant experience in a planning/procurement role with a manufacturing facility.
Required technical qualifications or membership to a professional order: Blue Belt certified preferred or agree to get certified within the role
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail coupled with solid analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Positive, flexible, can-do attitude
- Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize workload and multi-task
- Ability to work with internal and external customers respectfully, positively, and constructively
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and JD Edwards.
- Positive approach and demonstrated ability to lead change
- Ability to provide solutions during difficult situations while maintaining a professional approach
- Self-starter who acts and does not require close supervision
- Show concern for others and demonstrate high integrity and trust
- Participate in developing and supporting department goals
