As a Community Activities Coordinator, your responsibilities will include planning, coordinating, and executing a wide range of activities and events that cater to the interests and needs of our community. This is an excellent opportunity for you to showcase your creativity, organizational skills, and ability to connect with people from all walks of life.

Responsibilities:

  • Create a diverse calendar of events and activities that appeal to various age groups and interests within the community.
  • Coordinate with local vendors, performers, and organizations to bring in new and exciting experiences.
  • Manage event logistics such as venue selection, budgeting, marketing, and staffing.
  • Promote community engagement by encouraging participation in activities and fostering a sense of belonging.
  • Evaluate the success of each activity or event through feedback collection and data analysis.
  • Stay up-to-date with current trends in community engagement strategies to continuously improve our offerings
  • Build relationships with residents, volunteers, and community leaders to ensure their needs are met

Requirements:

  • A passion for creating inclusive communities where everyone feels welcome.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse groups of people.
  • Creative thinking abilities to come up with unique ideas for activities and events.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required by event schedules.
  • Enthusiastic and positive attitude to inspire others and create a fun atmosphere.
  • Prior experience in event planning or community engagement roles is an asset.
