Job Description:

Oak Acres Children's Camp (Located on the beautiful Murray River)

Oak Acres is looking for a Waterfront Director/Lifeguard for the upcoming 2024 camping season. Oak Acres is an overnight camp that accommodates 7-12 year old island children. The successful applicant can either stay on site for the summer or travel back and forth if they wish. Meals and lodging can be provided for the summer if they wish to stay. One week of paid training will be provided prior to the children arriving which includes first aid, professional outdoor education, and leadership training.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Plan, implement, and participate in camp activities including, but not limited to: swimming, canoeing/kayaking, and other camp activities as needed.
• Overall responsible for the waterfront at all times, including supervision of staff and the campers
• Responsible for the health, safety, and general well-being of campers

Requirements:

• NLS certification
• Criminal background check with vulnerable sector check
• Experience with children recommended but not mandatory
