Job Description:

Full time position from May 1 – October 30, 2024.

Location: Hybrid (Remote + Cavendish office)

The goal of our Digital Project Manager is to develop project plans, timelines, and budgets for digital initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives. Some of the projects this individual will be working on are Montgomery150 celebration marketing and event sales, digital marketing campaigns, blog writing, and Destination Market Readiness implementation in the Rustico area.

Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to gather project requirements, define deliverables, and establish clear project scopes based on photography, videography, content creation and social media engagement needs.
They will need to manage project resources, including assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and ensuring adherence to deadlines and budget constraints.
We are hoping our digital project manager will also have a keen eye for website editing and updating. This is something that will be taught and supported through training initiatives.
Experience with blog writing is also a bonus.
This position will conduct regular project status meetings to communicate updates, address issues.
This position will also solicit feedback from team members and stakeholders throughout the digital projects development process.
Collaborate with our membership and marketing committees to ensure all marketing goals are being completed and of course, have fun and grow tourism on PEI while doing it!

Requirements:

Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the internship
Have completed a program at a recognized post-secondary institution
Be legally entitled to work in Canada
Be a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person who has been granted refugee status
Not be in receipt of Employment Insurance during the internship
Self-assess as unemployed or underemployed at the time of hiring
Have a passion for promoting tourism on PEI and enjoy the work.
Possess strong organizational and communication skills.
Demonstrate the ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Display problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in digital project management, website editing, content creation, and social media engagement.
Be flexible and adaptable to evolving project requirements and objectives.
Exhibit a proactive and positive attitude towards work and challenges.

Salary:

$18/ hour + cell phone allowance and mileage as required.
