About the Job:

As a Children and Youth Worker at New Hope Community Church, you will be responsible for planning, assisting, and executing programs and events for children and youth. Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Being involved in Children's Ministry on Sunday mornings
  • Planning and supporting kids' special events
  • Participating in VBS (August 14-18th)
  • Organizing themed summer camps (July-mid August)
  • Planning fun family nights once a week
  • Organizing occasional gatherings/events for Youth (Gr.6,7)
  • Collaborating with other churches for events
  • Meeting weekly with supervisor to report activity and plan upcoming events
  • Handling promotions and advertising on social media

A candidate (student) must:

  • Be a resident of New Brunswick (must have lived in New Brunswick for at least 6 months) or a First Nation community in New Brunswick;
  • Be eligible to work in Canada (must have a valid SIN number);
  • NOT be an immediate family member (spouse, children, parent, brother or sister) of the employer;
  • Be a high school student entering grade 10, 11, or 12 in September 2024; OR
  • Be a full-time Grade 12, university or college student in the current academic year of 2023-2024 AND attending a post-secondary institution full-time in the fall of 2024.
