About the Job:

As a Summer Child Care Program Leader, you will be responsible for planning and executing weekly programs focused on arts, sports/recreation, social emotional learning, and creativity. You will also handle administrative tasks such as developing best practices, documenting rules and regulations, managing camp enrollment and fees, tracking attendance, and reporting operational expenses within the approved budget. In addition, you will serve as a positive team leader, providing guidance and support to program helpers and volunteers under your supervision. You will also be the primary point of contact for parents and guardians and oversee grounds and building maintenance to ensure safety.

A candidate (student) must:

  • Be a resident of New Brunswick (must have lived in New Brunswick for at least 6 months) or a First Nation community in New Brunswick;
  • Be eligible to work in Canada (must have a valid SIN number);
  • NOT be an immediate family member (spouse, children, parent, brother or sister) of the employer;
  • Be a high school student entering grade 10, 11, or 12 in September 2024; OR
  • Be a full-time Grade 12, university or college student in the current academic year of 2023-2024 AND attending a post-secondary institution full-time in the fall of 2024.
