We are currently seeking a dynamic and creative individual to join our team as a Children's Program Coordinator at the Fredericton Botanic Garden. As the Children's Program Coordinator, you will be responsible for developing and delivering a variety of engaging programs for children aged three to twelve. The programs will be divided into different age groups and will take place four to five days per week.

At Fredericton Botanic Garden, we believe in providing a fun and educational experience for children. Our programs include activities such as Story Time, crafts, science experiments, puppet shows, and theatre performances. You will have access to a wealth of materials from previous years' programs to inspire your creativity.

The ideal candidate for this role is outgoing, confident, and enjoys working with children. You must have a passion for performing and engaging with an audience. While the children must be accompanied by an adult, this role does not involve child care responsibilities.

The Children's Program Coordinator position runs from July to August and includes preparation time. Fluency in English is required, and the ability to work in French will be considered a tremendous asset.

  • Be a resident of New Brunswick (must have lived in New Brunswick for at least 6 months) or a First Nation community in New Brunswick;
  • Be eligible to work in Canada (must have a valid SIN number);
  • NOT be an immediate family member (spouse, children, parent, brother or sister) of the employer;
  • Be a high school student entering grade 10, 11, or 12 in September 2024; OR
  • Be a full-time Grade 12, university or college student in the current academic year of 2023-2024 AND attending a post-secondary institution full-time in the fall of 2024.
