Job Title: Shipping & Receiving Clerk Reports To: Logistics Supervisor Research Tool & Die Works powered by Fairbanks Morse Defense is seeking a motivated individual to fill a shipping and receiving clerk position at our facility located in Carson, CA. This individual will be a key member of the logistics department at Research Tool & Die Works Inc. The individual will work with a team handling the receipt and delivery of all incoming shipments while ensuring the accuracy of outgoing shipments. A successful candidate should have the ability to work with minimal supervision, work well with a team to communicate progress, and have the ability to accurately count, pack, and ship orders utilizing ERP systems. Collaborates and communicates with logistics supervisor, packing/shipping associates, service providers, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products. Promptly unloads trucks and deliveries and sorts and stocks receivables. Maintains an accurate log sheet of daily moves, scanning inventory, and counting accurately. Provides additional backup support for shipping and receiving departments. Scans and sorts incoming and outgoing stock Receives, stocks, and stacks products and materials Ability to operate a forklift Ability to bend, crouch, and lift items throughout the shift 6 months of logistics, retail, or customer service experience Must be able to use Microsoft 365 software Forklift Certification is highly desirable This position includes access or potential access to export-controlled data. Maintenance, including renewal, of licensing authorization is a condition of employment. This is a full-time 40 hour per week position; however, overtime will be scheduled as need. The standard shift is from 7:00AM-4:15PM Monday-Thursday and 7:00AM-12:00PM on Friday.
