For over 50 years VMS Distribution has been a leader in Direct to Store distribution (DSD) to gas stations & C-Stores, pharmacies, hardware stores and electronic stores. While our roots were (and still are) in the Entertainment Industry, becoming one of Canada's largest music distributors, we have expanded our product lines to include tech & cell phone accessories, headwear and gloves, tobacco accessories, drink-ware and general merchandise. Our DSD network covers western Canada and we are committed to providing our customers with outstanding customer service with quality product lines. This involves physically servicing the accounts, meeting with the manager(s) or owner(s) to discuss current sales programs and promoting new products. This is an existing territory with a very well established customer base encompassing a variety of retail channels. While the initial focus will be on maintaining and servicing our current customers, account development and new account acquisition is an integral part of the position. While not a "9-5" job it is a Monday to Friday full time position and great for someone with excellent time management skills. We will provide you a guideline and schedule for the initial training period. However, once that has been mastered you are free to manage yourself to maximize your sales potential. Given the area of this territory overnight travel is required, on average 8-12 nights/month. We provide an extensive initial training period with direct hands on assistance from one of our Sales Managers. This ensures the successful candidate has the necessary product training and education as well as ensuring our new team member meets our high level of customer service.
