The Logistics Manager is instrumental in coordinating inbound and outbound logistics to facilitate production and distribution effectively. You will oversee supply planning, transportation management, working capital management, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall supply chain performance. As part of an established global company, the Logistics Manager ensures seamless operations and efficiency throughout the supply chain to meet organizational goals and customer expectations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supply Planning and Strategy:

  • Develop and execute supply planning strategies to meet demand requirements and achieve supply chain objectives within the region.
  • Lead team to develop and execute strategies aligning with regional and company goals, ensuring efficient supply chain operations.

Logistics and Transportation Management:

  • Oversee inbound and outbound logistics operations to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.
  • Optimize transportation networks and modes to minimize costs and improve efficiency while meeting service level agreements.
  • Oversee cost management and vendor relationships, ensuring alignment between internal and third-party logistics providers to optimize service quality and meet financial targets.

Strategic Operational Functions:

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes, reduce costs, and increase efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and technology adoption to streamline operations and improve performance.
  • Analyze trends and identify areas for improvement.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead and develop a team of drivers and dispatchers, providing guidance, training, and support to optimize team performance.
  • Provide strong people management, coaching and change management to develop team members skills and capabilities maximize productivity and engagement.

PREFERRED HIRING CRITERIA

We count on your expertise and managerial experience within supply chain management, along with knowledge of logistics and transportation management.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Ideally, have experience in industries closely related to agriculture, such as agribusiness, animal nutrition, or related fields.
  • Showcase strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Bring experience in operations, warehouse management and process improvement to the table.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with health, safety, and other compliance regulations.
