Summary:

Under the supervision of the Human Resources Director, the Junior Human Resources Advisor will act as a generalist within the HR team at the Candiac head office, supporting and implementing various initiatives related to personnel management. Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be the first line of contact for all manager and employee questions regarding HR programs and for all questions related to human resources management;
  • Participate in the development of new HR initiatives;
  • Collaborate in the follow-up of certain benefits programs and manage disability files and follow-ups with the insurer;
  • Help organize various events and activities;
  • Maintain employee files;
  • Write letters, memos and develop dynamic PowerPoint presentations;
  • Facilitate communication between employees and management, resolving minor issues and directing employees to appropriate resources;
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable labor laws, providing advice on human resources issues;
  • Be responsible for the complete talent acquisition process (recruitment, selection, onboarding and integration) for operational positions;
  • Coordinate and facilitate integration programs to ensure a smooth transition of new employees within the organization;
  • Manage workers' compensation files;
  • Collaborate with operations on OHS follow-up activities;
  • Participate actively in the Occupational Health and Safety Committee (must be available 1 Thursday/2 months at 6 a.m. to attend the committee);
  • Take charge of various HR projects;
  • Support the human resources team in any other related tasks;

Essential Skills:

  • Oral and written bilingualism (French and English)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Excellent judgment, strong customer orientation and creativity in finding solutions
  • Basic knowledge of labor laws and human resources best practices
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information in a professional manner
  • Ability to adapt quickly to a dynamic environment
  • Excellent command of IT tools and the Microsoft Office suite
  • Knowledge of an ATS, an asset

Experience:

  • 1 to 3 years' experience in human resources is an asset
  • Relevant experience in the job market or internship as part of university studies
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or industrial relations
  • Membership in the Ordre des Conseillers en ressources humaines agréés is an asset
