1.1 The basi c function of the Operations Manager is to oversee the administration, direction, and coordination of their regional operations division.

1.2 The Operations Manager is to make every effort to maximize profit and control cost to ensure stability and f uture growth within their region .

1.3 The Operations Manager is a primary interface between Ajax and the Architect, Engineer, and Owner.

2.0 REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

2.1 The Operations Manager reports to and i s directly acc ountable to the Region al Manager .

2.2 The regional Project M anagers re port directly to the Operations Manager.

3.0 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

3.1 Profit/Loss responsibility for assigned projects.

3.2 Hire, terminate, and/or change the duties of assigned personnel, following established company policies, procedures, and practices.

3.3 Oversee traini ng and evaluate project managers within your region.

3.4 Audit jobsites in your region for efficiency and accuracy.

3.5 Act as company representative in negotiations with the owners.

3.6 Take active role in business development.

4.0 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

4.1 Train an d supervise all Project M anagers in your region.

4.2 Oversee the Project Manager s in your region to control time, cost, quality and safety on the project.

4.3 Revie w reports used by Ajax to keep top management accurately informed as to the effectiveness of the man agement of time, cost, quality and safety.

4.4 Oversee preparation of the project budget.

4.5 Oversee preparation of the project schedule.

4.6 Audit any activities and details associated with and needed for an efficient, profitable project from signing of the contract to conclusion of warranty period.

4.7 Being totally committed to active participation in the company's Quality Improvement Plan.

4.8 Supervision of those reporting to him.

4.9 Maintain good relations with Project Managers and Owners.
