The HR Advisor serves as a pivotal point of contact for inquiries, interpreting, and managing contracts, while assisting in resolving work-related issues. · Location: Calgary, AB | Hybrid, 4 days in office, 1-day WFH

· Shifts : Monday to Friday | 40 hours / week

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Act as a point of escalation for questions, interpreting, and administering contracts and helping resolve work-related problems.

· Instruct staff on how to advise management on organizational policy matters such as equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment.

· Resolve disputes and administer disciplinary procedures.

· Perform difficult staffing duties, including dealing with understaffing, refereeing disputes, firing employees, and administering disciplinary procedures.

· Plan, direct and supervise and coordinate work activities of subordinates and staff relating to employment, compensation, labor relations and employee relations.

· May represent organization in HR meetings.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience is required.

  • 5-7 years customer service-related experience is required.

  • Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Strong knowledge of benefit and pay-scale systems.

  • Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, customer service and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong ability to work independently and manage one's time.

  • Strong knowledge of legal policies and procedures related to hiring practices

  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.

  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada
