As a Business Development Manager you will be responsible for identifying, initiating, and growing our mortgage referral relationships for our broker channel. This role will work collaboratively across teams to drive new business, maintain broker relationships and execute strategy plans in alignment with the business objectives. Contribute to the growth, strategy and, relationships of our new mortgages business Continuously drive an increase in overall broker and portfolio volumes through the broker channel, including developing and executing on the go to market strategies and performance management plan Build business relationships with Brokers by establishing new connections and tapping into your existing network to increase our current portfolio Manage and nurture existing relationships by providing unparalleled support and guidance Analyze your portfolio to determine high, medium, and low performing brokerages and take necessary actions against each to improve performance Liaise between underwriting and brokers to ensure clear, concise, and prompt communication to maintain quality service levels Attend various and relevant networking events within your region Work with senior leaders to drive sales productivity, execute roadmap initiatives and help streamline the underwriting process using technology and best-in-class processes and training 3+ years experience as a Business Development Manager in the Mortgage Industry ~ Previous experience in Mortgages is required ~ Comprehensive and strong relationships with Mortgage Brokers within Ontario ~ A driven, self starter with a proven ability to build from the ground up and make informed decisions that best serve the business ~ Strong background in residential mortgage credit considered an asset.
