YOUR CHALLENGES

  • You are responsible for developing and executing short and long-term strategies for the management of their assigned categories of products and services to ensure the highest level of service and have a significant impact on the company's bottom line;
  • You will lead key growth initiatives using a fact-based approach, including market trend analysis, category evaluation, assortment optimization, promotion planning and customer experience optimization.

YOUR RESPONSABILITIES

Develop and implement strategies for defined product and service categories to optimize business results;
Manage the overall product portfolio, including budgets, forecasting, portfolio planning and category segmentation, and positioning of products and services in relation to competitors, distributors and customers;
Ensure category management, including strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, contract, performance and risk management;
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including procurement, sales, marketing and profitability teams;
Report on purchases of product categories and perform analysis to identify opportunities for improvement;
Negotiate the best purchasing agreements with suppliers while seeking the best potential in terms of sales, value, margins, quality and profitability within the framework of the organization's culture;
Collaborate in setting retail prices in line with the company's overall strategy, ensuring the best return on product investment;
Develop and initiate the implementation of purchasing change initiatives within identified categories to improve company performance;
Develop consistent positioning of products and services, manage product release schedules and act as the main point of contact for the sales and marketing teams;
Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of respective product markets, competitors and product innovations;
Conduct business and category reviews;
Coordinate promotions and communications to drive category sales across channels: web, branches, and B2B;
Develop and maintain planning and analysis tools.

YOUR SPECIFIC MEASURES OF SUCCESS

Category sales;
Category gross margin;
Product inventory turnover;
Inventory values.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, combined with more than 10 years of experience in category management/procurement;
Minimum five years of management experience;
Excellent written and oral communication skills in French and English;
Proficiency in the Office Suite;
Ability to travel abroad as required.
