POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist with both the simple and regular routine maintenance of the equipment under the direction of the Operators or Supervisor.
• Conduct routine safety,quality and housekeeping checks as outlined by the Company.
• Ensure all department documentation and paperwork is completed correctly.
• Operate forklift equipment and material handling equipment when/if required.
• Promote teamwork, cooperation, and effective communication within the department and Company. Interact with all levels of the operation in support of process improvement activities.
• Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner compliant with ISO 9001 standards and the SQF Code.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous related work experience preferred.
• Good aptitude for machines; ability to learn and work with machinery
• Experience with hand tools, including tape measures.
• Dependable and able to work rotating shifts (12 hour shift rotations).
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work entire summer term from May to end of August.
12-Hour shift schedule:
Week 1 - Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday from 8:00-20:00 (days)
Week 2 - Wednesday, Thursday from 8:00-20:00 (days)
Week 3 - Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday from 20:00-8:00 (nights)
Week 4 - Wednesday, Thursday from 20:00-8:00 (nights)
Week 5 - Repeat rotation starting at week 1
