    The House of Commons' Digital Services and Real Property team is currently looking to staff the Senior Digital Product Strategist (IT Security) position.

    The Senior Digital Product Strategist is accountable, as a top-level technology expert, for providing leadership to the development of a strategic framework that enables the overarching review, assessment and advancement of IT security technologies across multiple product lines and Technology domains, while ensuring that enterprise and client specific solutions benefit from research into new IT security developments. In an executive senior advisory capacity, the position must lead and integrate IT security research, consider Digital Services and Real Property (DSRP)'s strategic position and business activities, and provide authoritative recommendations that will impact across the organization. The position's role requires the position to act as central focal point in IT security for the management and implementation of the vision and technology orientations. This level of guidance is critical in establishing and sustaining the DSRP direction in moving towards several mission-critical initiatives.

    • Education :

      • University graduation with a Bachelor's Degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, business, innovation management or another related field; these requirements can also be met through an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

      Experience:

      • Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing strategic frameworks for IT security, encompassing assessment, evaluation, and advancement of technologies across diverse product lines and IT domains;
      • Proficiency in IT Security infrastructure architecture, including the ability to design and implement scalable, reliable, and high-performance systems;
      • Experience in evaluating and selecting third-party vendors and technology partners;
      • Proven track record of leading and integrating IT security research to inform strategic decision-making, considering organizational positioning and business operations;
      • Extensive experience in providing authoritative recommendations with organization-wide impact, particularly in executive advisory roles;
      • Strong leadership skills with the ability to serve as a central point of focus, driving the implementation of the IT security vision and technological strategies;
      • Ability to advise executive leadership on urgent and emerging IT security issues, while effectively managing sensitive matters with delegated authority;
      • Experience communicating and engaging stakeholders and facilitating cross-functional alignment on IT security initiatives.
