THE JOB

· Operational Leadership : Manage day-to-day activities of the Dispatch, Freight Forwarding, Service, and Warehousing teams to ensure seamless operations.

· Team Development : Lead and inspire operational teams to meet and exceed goals and KPIs through effective mentorship and leading by example.

· Talent Acquisition and Mentoring : Recruit, mentor, and lead Operations Department team members, embodying and promoting leadership by example.

· Service Excellence : Guarantee service levels fulfill and surpass client expectations, implementing improvements as needed.

· Client Satisfaction Assurance : Proactively identify service failures and implement corrective actions to enhance overall service quality and reliability.

· Efficiency Optimization : Collaborate with the Dispatch Team on planning and forecasting driver routes to enhance efficiency in terms of stops per hour.

· Process Improvement : Work with each team to identify and implement changes for better operational efficiency and customer satisfaction while maintaining cost effectiveness.

· Owner/Operator Management : Recruit, manage and guide our group of Owner/Operators.

· Compliance and Record Keeping : Maintain owner/operator files, ensuring records are accurate and up to date.

· Training and Development : Ensure Owner/Operators follow Company Safety Policies and Procedures for example: HOS, Transportation of Dangerous Goods, etc.

· Performance Management : Conduct meetings with Owner/Operators and staff for training, feedback, and discussions on improvement areas.

· Performance Reporting : Oversee the completion of performance reports, ensuring thorough and accurate assessments.

· Technological Advancement : Evaluate and implement technology solutions to improve operational efficiency, such as Transportation Management Systems (TMS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), or GPS tracking for fleet management.

· Client Relationship Management : Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including regular reviews of contract performance, addressing any concerns, and identifying opportunities for additional services or improvements.

· Strategic Collaboration : Work closely with the Executive Team in strategic planning for the logistical operations of the company. Help in identifying opportunities for expansion, new service offerings, or entering new markets.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

· Leadership Experience : Demonstrated leadership in the delivery or logistics sectors, with a proven track record of guiding teams towards operational excellence.

· Technical Proficiency : Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams, essential for efficient management and communication.

· Interpersonal and Organizational Skills : Exceptional interpersonal communication skills coupled with strong organizational abilities to effectively coordinate projects and team activities.

· Decision-Making Under Pressure : Excellent decision-making capabilities, particularly in high-pressure situations, ensuring swift and effective resolution of challenges.

· Educational Background / Job Experience : A College or University degree in business or relevant job experience is preferred.

· Project Management : Proven expertise in managing multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, maintaining focus and delivering results.

· Proactive Problem-Solving : A bias for action with outstanding problem-solving skills, demonstrating an ability to identify and address issues proactively.

· Communication Proficiency : Strong verbal and written communication skills, vital for clear and effective information exchange with team members, management, and clients.

· Innovation and Continuous Improvement : Openness to innovation, exploring new technologies, and continuous process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and competitiveness.

· Conflict Resolution : Skills in resolving conflicts within teams or with clients/vendors efficiently, ensuring positive outcomes and maintaining strong relationships.
