Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Field Project Manager to join our team!

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Partake in constructability reviews

  • Planning and detailed schedule development for assigned scope and area.

  • Coordinating detailed Quantity take-offs for procurement and cost forecasting purposes

  • Coordinating with Traffic team for the required Traffic Control Plans and associated communications notices

  • Coordinating with Utilities for any relocates required

  • Assisting with Project Control duties including quantity reporting and accrual tracking

  • Managing and coordinating subcontractors and assisting with subcontract administration

  • Working with Superintendent and field coordinators in the planning and execution of work

  • Ensure documentation is submitted in a timely manner and that

  • ITPs, NCRs, and As-builts are closed out in a timely manner

  • Ensure the construction is in full compliance with the Project

  • Agreement, including matters related to quality, safety, environment and life cycle performance

  • Support and contribute to the development of the Construction

  • Management Plan, ensuring compliance to such plan through the life cycle of the project

  • Manage the construction teams and process to ensure the infrastructure is constructed in accordance with the construction schedule

  • Coordinate with the Utilities team to ensure conflicts do not impact the construction schedule of any segment

  • Ensure the construction is in accordance with the design and that design changes are not implemented without the Engineer of

  • Record's approval and City's acceptance

  • Provide information and effectively communicate any issues to relevant parties in a timely manner

  • May at times, be responsible for pulling chambers, drainage systems, subgrade, base course, OCS foundations, duct banks, embedded conduits and track works, and liaising between locations

  • Will suggest optimized and cost-effective sequences of work between Civil and Track activities, focusing on planning the works at each intersection and each zone interacting with Stage 1 overlaps

  • Contributes to the field coordination and scheduling look-ahead.

  • Provides support to segment/ package managers in producing selected products composing the facility.

  • May include delegation to manage portions of the facility works.

  • May be asked to contribute to re-estimation (Take-off) of quantities of Material required for performing work or selected activities

  • Assist with vacation coverage

  • May be asked to represent the segment at client meetings

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Undergraduate degree in Engineering, preferably in Civil, Mechanical, or related discipline or equivalent work experience

  • Excellent written, verbal and IT communication and software skills

  • Excellent organizational and people skills

  • 3+ years work experience with evidence of leadership on large projects of a similar nature and scope

  • Technical knowledge of large, complex facility infrastructure and related interfaces, embedded items and track components an asset

  • Experience in coordinating work between various site construction managers

  • Demonstrated project management experience including development of construction plans and schedules

  • Joint venture experience a definite asset
