Why is this role important?

The Assistant Manager, Sales supports the Manager, Sales by providing day to day supervision and guidance to associates in an effort to achieve the highest standards of luxury sales and service.

Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Provide sales floor supervision by spending the majority of the time on the selling floor
  • Coach and train associates to maintain luxury standards and achieve customer service targets
  • Resolves customer issues and/or complaints and keeps manager informed
  • Makes recommendations on changes and/or solutions to enhance customer sales and service standards
  • Actively participate as a training facilitator for sales and service programs and other company training programs as required
  • Assist in the launch and maintenance of selling tools and sales and service programs
  • Assists associates in developing, maintaining and growing an active store client base and strong customer relationships
  • Participates in the recruitment and selection of associates
  • Assigns work and assignments to associates as required
  • Provide feedback to Manager, Sales on inventory performance, merchandising presentation standards, customer trends and issues
  • Provides input into associate performance assessments and appraisals, performance improvement plans
  • Assists in organizing and conducting regular department team meetings and helps keep the team informed on upcoming sales and service initiatives
  • Maintain high standards of merchandise presentation at all times
  • Maintain day to day operational awareness of leased businesses within area to ensure seamless customer service, elevating issues to Manager as required
  • Model leadership behaviours that promote a culture of open communication, employee development and trust
  • Maintain all Health & Safety practices to code
  • Perform other duties as assigned

The ideal candidate:

  • 1-3 years supervisory experience with accountability for sales and service
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales and profit targets
  • Is adaptable and comfortable with change
  • Retail selling experience in a luxury environment preferred
  • Confident and effective communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

The measures of success:

  • Contribution to financial objectives
  • Individual objectives linked to the achievement of department goals
  • Feedback from internal and external clients

Directeur(trice) Adjoint(e), Ventes

Le/la directeur(trice) de ventes adjoint(e) soutient le/la directeur(trice) de ventes en assurant la supervision et l'orientation au jour le jour des conseillers dans le but d'atteindre les normes les plus élevées en matière de vente et de service dans le secteur du luxe.

Les responsabilités spécifiques comprennent (sans toutefois s'y limiter) ce qui suit :

  • Assurer la supervision de l'aire de vente en passant la majorité de son temps dans l'aire de vente
  • Offrir du mentorat et former les conseillers afin de maintenir les normes de luxe et d'atteindre les objectifs de service à la clientèle
  • Résoudre les problèmes ou les plaintes des clients et tenir le/la directeur(trice) au courant
  • Faire des recommandations sur les changements ou les solutions visant à améliorer les normes de vente et de service à la clientèle
  • Participer activement en tant qu'animateur de formation aux programmes de vente et de service, ainsi qu'à d'autres programmes de formation de l'entreprise, au besoin
  • Aider au lancement et à l'entretien des outils de vente et des programmes de vente et de service
  • Aider les conseillers à développer, à maintenir et à cultiver une clientèle active et des relations solides avec les clients
  • Participer au recrutement et à la sélection des conseillers
  • Assigner le travail et les affectations aux conseillers, au besoin
  • Fournir une rétroaction au/à la directeur(trice) de ventes sur le rendement des stocks, les normes de présentation du marchandisage, les tendances et les problèmes des clients
  • Participer à l'évaluation et à l'appréciation du rendement des conseillers et aux plans d'amélioration du rendement
  • Participer à l'organisation et à la conduite des réunions régulières de l'équipe du service et aider à tenir l'équipe au courant des initiatives à venir en matière de ventes et de services
  • Maintenir en tout temps des normes élevées en matière de présentation des marchandises
  • Maintenir au jour le jour la sensibilisation opérationnelle des entreprises concédées afin d'assurer un service à la clientèle sans faille, en transmettant les problèmes au/à la directeur(trice), au besoin
  • Adopter des comportements de leadership qui favorisent une culture de communication ouverte, de perfectionnement des employés et de confiance
  • Maintenir toutes les pratiques en matière de santé et de sécurité conformément au code
  • Effectuer les autres tâches qui lui sont assignées

Le/la candidat(e) idéal(e) possède :

  • De 1 à 3 ans d'expérience en supervision avec responsabilité de la vente et du service
  • Une expérience prouvée de dépassement des objectifs de ventes et de profit
  • Une capacité d'adaptation et est à l'aise avec le changement
  • De l'expérience en vente au détail dans un environnement de luxe de préférence
  • Des compétences en communication (écrite et verbale) et en relations interpersonnelles confiantes et efficaces
  • Une maîtrise de la suite Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Un esprit d'entreprise
  • Excellente communication en français et en anglais
