We're looking for an Intermediate Structural Technician/REVIT Modeller to support our process-driven facilities projects to join our growing Canadian Operations. To be successful, you must have a minimum of 5 years in designing and drafting high-quality drawings/deliverables of multiple types of facility and/or transportation structures.

Working with an energetic and high-performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

1. Preparation of structural drawings and details from conception to final design, according to established standards and procedures for a wide variety of steel and concrete structures including shallow and deep foundations, transit stations, treatment plants, pump and transfer stations, processing facilities, push and retaining walls.
2. Working in various procurement strategies such as Design-Bid-Build and Design-Build environments to advance structural design packages.
3. Working independently on various types of projects and assist senior BIM Modellers in executing large and/or multiple projects.
4. Adhering to GHD BIM standards and procedures and implementing compliance on projects.
5. Quantity take-offs.
6. Producing consistent, high-quality structural work.
7. Communication with structural leads, designers, and project team members on a regular basis to ensure an effective and timely flow of project information to meet scheduled deadlines.
8. Participating, when required, in the advancement of GHD Standard Structural Details and BIM Standards including promoting changes, mentoring on updates to tools and methods, and assisting with training development and lessons learned exercises.

What you will bring to the team:

1. Technician/Technologist with a Civil Engineering Technology diploma with background in Civil or Structural Engineering is considered an asset.
2. 5-10 years experience in designing and drafting high-quality drawings/deliverables of multiple types of facility and/or transportation structures.
3. Outstanding attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
4. High Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
5. A solid understanding of the following software is considered an asset: Navisworks, Dynamo, AutoCAD Civil 3D, AutoCAD Plant 3D, and MicroStation.
6. Proficiency/expertise in REVIT and BIM Collaboration tools. (ProjectWise, BIM 360). (Required)
7. Ability to interact with external entities to interpret and understand BIM/CAD requirements and BIM scope.
8. Strong communication skills for a team-based working environment.
9. Good understanding of the level of effort required to complete the work.
10. Positive demeanor, good communication, and social skills.
11. Ability to work in multiple parallel projects and within a team environment.
