Position Title: Project Manager, NeXT Autonomous Digital Mine

Purpose:

We are looking for a Technical Project Manager to help us grow our business through successful leadership in executing projects with technical scope relating to automation, robotics, networks, and other digital services to mines. As a member of the Customer Solutions Team, t he successful candidate will be comfortable discussing technical content with clients and driving successful outcomes with technical subject matter experts.

Responsibilities:

  • Execution of project scope to a defined budget and schedule, manages and documents change orders seeking customer approval prior to changes.
  • Assures that customer is satisfied with the contracted deliverables.
  • Is accountable for office and site safety for the project team.
  • Recommends and selects the project team.
  • Manages mobilization to plan.
  • Assures all team members have the appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Identifies and provides any specialized knowledge and training for the project team.
  • Evaluates team member performance.

What you will bring

Technical and Industry Experience:

  • Experience managing projects and/or experience deploying complex Digital solutions in an industrial environment.
  • Proven performance leading technical work as a Project Manager.
  • Demonstrated capabilities to build relationships with customers and other stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial acumen and experience in various commercial contracting models/risk profiles (Lump Sum/Fixed Price/Target Price/Reimbursable, etc.)
  • Proven experience in Waterfall and Agile project management
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Project, Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent overall understanding of the impact of Industry 4.0 technology
  • Experience managing a portfolio of projects and working with clients for pull through work.
  • Motivational leadership style and strong communication skills with ability to develop high performance culture.
  • Ability to identify, quantify, and mitigate risks effectively through positive decision making.
  • Ability to manage project change effectively with project team and clients.
  • Capable of working with a diverse global project team working in an office and remotely.
  • Experience working in Mining, Oil & Gas, Chemicals, LNG and Renewables.
  • Available for travel to site as required. May be required to travel within or outside of Canada to deliver projects.

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

Required:

  • A diploma in a related field such as Engineering, Automation, Mining, Digital Technology, Operational Technology or Data Science.
  • PMP Certification
