This role involves managing a team of diverse and global IT team, requiring a strong leadership focus on operations and support. This role requires someone that's bilingual (French & English), who can facilitate seamless communication between team members, clients, and stakeholders, reducing misunderstandings and enhancing overall productivity.This role will be implementing an effective strategy to ensure that business operations have the capability and capacity to meet current and future business requirements.This role is also accountable for planning, coordination, and managing EUFE IT personal, project portfolio to agreed targets, in time, in budget, and at quality of functionality, in coordination with internal ABB or 3rd party project execution resources. Responsible for interaction with functional/business unit leadership to help develop the project portfolio that aligns with the overall ABB program/project portfolio and business objectives and priorities.

Your responsibilities
  • Responsible for the day-to-day supervision of a group of associates including work and attendance monitoring.
  • Effectively coach direct reports on their performance on a regular basis to ensure performance metrics are achieved.
  • People Leadership and Development: Ensures that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Guides, motivates, and develops direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies, for the benefit of both ABB and the employee.
  • Strategy & Organizational Leadership: Assist EUFE Lead and Senior Leadership Team in managing the EUFE organization to meet business and IT goals within budget, on target, as projected.
  • Project Management: Works closely with project managers and EUFE team to monitor the EUFE IT project portfolio delivery according to agreed targets, identifies potential risks and proposes mitigation actions. Escalation points for issues needing resolution.
  • Project Compliance: Ensures the EUFE IT projects follow and comply with given goals of the ABB IS Enterprise Architecture and any other applicable ABB Group Directives and ABB Group Guidelines.
  • Project Organization: Responsible for prioritizing the project portfolio in concert with the EUFE IT project sponsors based on changing functional needs, resource capacity constraints, risk exposure, and other interdependencies. Responsible to organize the EUFE IT project portfolio in the most efficient way. Defines principles and standards to harmonize EUFE IT projects.
  • Processes: Ensures the installation / management/ maintenance/ optimization of internal and cross-functional processes related to IT Service delivery or IT Service demand in relevant area of responsibility. Monitors the delivery of business objectives and client experience for PMO services.
  • ABB IS Strategy: Ensures that investments and initiatives in EUFE IT project management services are aligned with business strategy and priorities. Supports the implementation of the ABB IS Strategy and the ABB IS Enterprise Architecture for relevant area of responsibility.
Your background
  • You must be fluent in both French and English. French is required. English is also required to communicate with customers outside Quebec on a regular basis.
  • Bachelor's degree Business Administration or technical field preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years' experience.
  • Experience managing, coaching, and developing team members required.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills and experience establishing guidelines in these areas for others.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and peak periods.
  • Creative, ability to suggest new ideas and new ways of accomplishing tasks.
  • Strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making and supervising department teams.
  • Experience working in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality.
  • Managerial experience applying analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to predict challenges and seek to proactively head-off obstacles.
  • Information Technology knowledge and experience preferred, including Windows 10, Microsoft Cloud Services, Active Directory, TCP/IP Networks, Windows Server 2016/2019, Service-Now.
  • Experience with manufacturing processes, procedures, and factory IT programs preferred.
