The camp nurse will ensure proper health and safety of all campers and staff. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
- Have the ability to work within a Christian faith-based camp setting and uphold the mission, vision and values of The Salvation Army by modeling Christian values.
- Post-secondary nursing education preferred.
- Nursing experience preferred.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
SPECIAL LICENSES, DIPLOMAS, CERTIFICATIONS OR REQUIREMENTS: The successful applicant will hold/have:
- Nursing Certification
- Nursing Student
PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES: The incumbent must take the following precautionary measures (in addition to health and safety rules):
- Current Criminal/Vulnerable Sector Check
- Clearance through The Salvation Army Child Abuse Registry
- Completion of the Praesidium Online Abuse Prevention Training
- Current First Aid Training
WORKING CONDITIONS: Contract position - 40 hours per week.
