YOUR CHALLENGES

Lead the regional team of advisors/trainers while overseeing, optimizing and implementing a profitable offering and growth of our services.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership responsibilities (70% of time)

• Participate in the development of service offers and be a reference for other departments;
• Provide the team of consultant trainers with a clear vision of the project's objectives and monitor results;
• Participate in the acquisition and integration of new staff under their supervision;
• Manage staff schedules, expenses, performance, training, objectives, appraisals and development prospects;
• Coach, direct, audit and inspire the team to achieve personal and corporate goals;
• Ensure that staff skills are passed on and enhanced through coaching, training and mentoring;
• Ensure the health and safety of staff and customers in your charge;
• Oversee the inspection and maintenance of consulting equipment;
• Ensure expenditures are in line with budgets and company policies;
• Evaluate and report on progress towards departmental objectives;
• Ensure alignment with national standards and corporate objectives;
• Contribute to the development and improvement of safety practices, assessments and documentation;
• Participate in the development and execution of company projects, where appropriate;
• Participate in the standardization and updating of the Consulting Services offering for Canada;
• Participate in increasing innovation in terms of pedagogy and expertise for our products and services;
• Participate in sales and marketing meetings to achieve company objectives (as required);
• Maintain a high standard of quality and expertise.

Training and consulting responsibilities (30% of time)

• Develop and maintain subject matter expertise;
• Deliver safety training to customers at SPI's training center and customers' workplaces;
• Conduct risk assessments and safe work procedures to support safety training;
• Carry out safety audits and risk assessments at customer sites in accordance with occupational health and safety regulations and industry best practices;
• Develop written safety documentation for customers, including audit reports, risk assessments, safe working procedures, safety programs and other mandatory safety documentation;
• On-site role including safety supervision, support and other services;
• Drive, fly and travel to customer work sites in and out of town.

SPECIFIC MEASURES OF SUCCESS - EXPECTED OUTCOMES

• Completion of projects in accordance with customer specifications and SPI standards;
• Utilization of billable headcount in line with SPI objectives;
• Employee retention.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• University degree or certificate;
• 5 to 10 years of experience in a similar position;
• Intermediate skills with MS Office Suite and virtual conferences;
• Experience in customer relationship management (CRM);
• ERP experience;
• Experience in occupational health and safety (an asset).
