YOUR ROLEWe are seeking an experienced Underwriting & Group Benefits Analyst to join our Sales and Service Department. This hybrid role, based in our Calgary office two days a week, reporting to the President, and working closely with the Account Manager, the Benefits Analyst uses their keen analytical mindset, attention to detail, and insights to support client and prospective client decision making. The Benefits Analyst has a strong understanding of employee group benefits, data analysis and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to clients.YOUR IMPACT The Benefits Analyst plays a crucial role in analyzing and interpreting employee benefit data. managing existing client relationships, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction, and driving business growth.YOUR RESPONSIBILITES Serve as a pivotal resource to Account Executives during annual renewals, providing invaluable support in navigating rate adjustments and plan changes effectively.Conduct comprehensive analyses of renewal data and claims experience, meticulously identifying emerging trends and preparing insightful financial projections when necessary.Craft polished reports tailored for client presentations, ensuring clarity and relevance, and actively participate in client meetings when required.Collaborate with consultants and Account Executives to conduct quarterly analyses, producing informative reports that drive strategic decision-making.Assist in the preparation of new business quotes, offering precise benefit cost information and contributing to the seamless implementation of changes for existing clients.Maintain a high level of professionalism, ensuring all deadlines are met and cultivating strong, positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to employee benefits, including claims data, utilization trends, and cost structures, to deliver comprehensive assessments of benefit plan performance.Collaborate with the Account Manager in the development and delivery of regular, high-quality reports, presentations, and proposals to clients, offering actionable insights into the performance of their benefit programs.Generate both regular and ad-hoc reports for Account Manager's, Consultants and Stake Holders.Collaborate closely with Account Managers and clients to provide data-driven insights for benefit plan design and optimization, contributing to the overall management of various group benefits.THIS IS YOU You have a minimum of 3 years' experience working in the group benefits field, with at least 3 years in a benefit analyst or related role.You have previous experience in performing data analysisYou have experience with CRM systems an asset.THIS IS NICEYou have a degree in business, finance, statistics, or related field.You have a CEBS Designation (or working towards) an asset.You have previous experience working with various underwriting and renewals would be considered an asset.You are knowledgeable in financial reporting and analysis to produce professional reports for clients, management, and other stakeholders.To apply for this role, kindly send an email with your resume attached to [email protected] for consideration.
