Position: *Security Dispatcher *Site: *Conestoga College *Job Type: *Full time, Permanent *Minimum of 1 year experience as security dispatcher (high volume intake experience preferred)* Minimum on 6 months experience as a call taker/ dispatcher in a service industry an asset * Ability to manage radio communications and telephone inquiries * Above average skills working to O365 applications including Outlook, SharePoint, Excel, Word, etc * Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills * Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions * Experience with data entry and record keeping *Able to utilize multiple software's at once, CCTV, access control, mass notification * Create and update activities in excel based Dispatch for ongoing calls and incidents in a timely fashion * Use Alarm Monitoring software to keep track of intrusion alarms and dispatch guards to investigate * Place fire alarm systems on disregard upon the request of approved contractor work and Conestoga Facilities * Answer security related calls and dispatch guards to assist and/or investigate * Always Maintaining professionalism as VPs and management will be working in the same building as dispatch. * Have a strong understanding of Conestoga's rules and policies * Liaise with various agencies including 911 emergency call centre, WRPS non-emergency, and fire department designated to each city WFD, KFD, CFD, GFD and BFD. Liaise with external organizations including but not limited to fire systems service companies, elevator service companies, etc. * Liaise with other Conestoga departments and stakeholders (facilities, IT, residence, etc.) Job Types: Full-time, Permanent 55 per hour Dental care * Flexible schedule * On-site parking 12 hour shift * Day shift * Evening shift * Holidays * Monday to Friday * Morning shift * Are you comfortable working 2 months nights shifts and 2 months day shifts?
