SALES TRAINEE-JBS FOOD CANADA ULC. With approximately 3300 employees, JBS Food Canada ULC ("JBS Canada") is one of Canada's largest beef processors. Consisting of four locations—the main processing facility located in Brooks, Alberta, where approximately 4,200 head of cattle are harvested and processed daily; the Head Office and a case ready plant, both based in Calgary, Alberta; and JBS Ontario, a case ready plant located in Belleville, Ontario. The JBS Canada facility in Brooks has the capacity to produce products ranging from boxed beef primals, ground beef, beef trimmings, beef by-products and hides which are shipped across Canada and worldwide. At the multi-protein Mountain Creek Farms case-ready facility in Calgary, JBS Canada produces value-added products including marinated, portion sized, multi-pack options, kebabs and much more. JBS Ontario in Belleville produces fresh meat and seafood products for leading retailers in Canada. During the pandemic, we have implemented hundreds of safety measures including offering unlimited PPE, constructing permanent physical barriers, establishing physical distancing protocols, and installing hospital-grade ventilation systems in all of our facilities. JBS Food Canada is seeking an experienced, ambitious and highly motivated Sales Trainee to join its dynamic team in servicing the retail and food service sectors in Canada. The successful candidate will, on a daily basis, be a strong and positive advocate in the alignment of JBS Canada products and services to existing and new customers seeking high quality Canadian beef offerings. NOTE: This role will be located in the head office in Calgary, Alberta. Relocation Assistance available You will: Provide internal and external administrative support to sales team; communicate professionally with all levels of personnel via phone, e-mail and written correspondence; Provide exceptional customer service by collaborating with sales team to ensure customer needs are fulfilled; Liaise with Sales teams and Business Development to provide support during high season periods or in planning for future business Maintain client relations by expediting reports such as Letters of Guarantee and Certificate of Analysis; effectively managing the relationship with internal Quality Control team to ensure these reports are received in a timely manner; Analyze industry trends and recognize sales opportunities by being aware of sales and marketing strategies, plans, and programs available within JBS Food Canada. Utilize these to effectively assist customers and support members of the sales team. Generate daily Beginning of Day (BOD) reports for sales team including all pertinent information; Communicate and collaborate effectively with all departments to expedite and resolve all aspects of sales including: shipping, pricing, accounting/invoicing, and inventory in a timely manner. Maintain accurate data archives to manage reporting requests; Consult when necessary with clients after sale to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support Analyze sales strategy status and reports to Sales management results necessary to achieve business goals Act as a liaison between the company, carrier companies and the customer to track orders; while effectively utilizing the internal Order Management software; Follow approved Standard Operating Procedures and ensure internal controls are strictly complied with; Maintain an excellent understanding and respect for standard sales practices (sales cycle, CRM, reporting, forecasting, territory management, quotas, etc.) Cross-train on multiple functions within the department to increase individual and team strength. You have: Post-secondary education in a related field is preferred, although equivalent work experience will be considered; Proficient computer skills/abilities and ability to execute administrative responsibilities; Desire to promote a customer – focused culture in alignment with the company's core values, guiding principles and goals. Willingness to work flexible hours as needed by operational requirements and courses/training; Results oriented with a high degree of self-motivation; Fluent in English and possessing exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written; Must demonstrate excellent presentation skills; Ability to build and maintain effective internal and external working relationships with a desire to exceed customer expectations Ability to function in a high pressure, fast-paced sales environment Demonstrate integrity and trust in all activities, with the ability to work with a sense of urgency.
