Our client, a manufacturing company based in Drummondville, is looking for a dynamic and experienced finance director to join its management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company, providing strategic and operational expertise to support the growth and profitability of the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement management procedures and monitoring indicators to ensure effective and optimal financial management.
  • Ensure regular communication with management by providing detailed analyzes of the company's financial situation.
  • Ensure strict compliance with established procedures and financial schedules, identifying and correcting any deviations.
  • Oversee the financial flows of the company and manage cash flow to ensure short and long term financial stability.
  • Analyze in depth the financial situation of the company through the balance sheet, analyses, dashboards and activity indicators, providing relevant analyzes to guide strategic decisions.
  • Guarantee the achievement of the financial objectives set by the company by developing realistic budget forecasts and monitoring their implementation.
  • Lead negotiations with external financial partners such as banks and administrations to optimize the company's financial conditions.
  • Ensure constant regulatory monitoring of international financial, tax and legal standards, and ensure their application within the company.
  • Organize and coordinate the activities of the administrative and financial department, ensuring efficient and transparent management.
  • Carry out the recording of daily accounting operations and supervise the closing of annual accounts on time.
  • Manage employee payroll, tax and social security declarations, as well as the processing of customer and supplier invoices.
  • Update the settings of accounting data processing systems and find out about tax, social and legal developments to ensure company compliance.
  • Ensure industrial management control by calculating production costs and managing day-to-day administration activities such as insurance and legal matters.

Required Profile:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in financial functions, preferably with experience in a chartered accounting office.
  • CMA/CPA certification.
  • Varied experience in a medium-sized company with a diversity of administrative responsibilities, not just limited to accounting or finance.
  • Intra-entrepreneur mentality, capable of taking initiatives and working independently to contribute to the growth of the company.
