Care and maintenance of the digital EEG machine & accessories • Abstracts relevant information from the patient's chart (electronic/paper copy), from the patient and/or support person. Observes and notes clinical activity occurring during the patient's test. • Reports major problems to Manager and Biomedical department, as required. • Responsible for stocking the EEG and/or EMG room(s) with necessary supplies, including linen and medical supplies. • Selection of appropriate Montages and Site selection for additional electrodes should be demonstrated with minimal assistance • Continues to develop professionally by attending seminars, workshops, & educational opportunities • Demonstrates willingness to learn new procedures, help co-workers with difficult patients. • Graduate of an accredited Electroneurodiagnostic Technology or Electromyography Technology Program, preferred • Membership with Canadian Association of Electroneurophysiology Technologists (CAET) is an asset. • Minimum of 2 years of experience in performing both EEG (Adults & Pediatrics) and EMG tests -• Understanding of neuro anatomy and physiology, electrophysiological equipment and electronic principles. • Ability to interpret and evaluate clinical data and information. • Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal, communication, coaching, mentoring and team building skills that facilitate positive interactions among all members of the health care team. • Demonstrates understanding and complies with patient and staff safety policies and procedures that foster a safe and inclusive environment for all. • Models behaviours that are aligned with the values of Southlake Regional Health Centre. •• As a condition of employment, you are required to submit proof of COVID-19 vaccination to the Hospital's Occupational Health and Safety department. Successful candidates will be required to submit proof of COVID-19 vaccination (two doses) from the Ontario Ministry of Health website or other authorized source directly to the Occupational Health and Safety department.
