Job Title : Senior Estimator

Salary Range: $70,000 - $100,000 (flexible based on experience)

Position Summary:

The Estimator is responsible for collaborating across departments to develop and prepare project bids by thoroughly analyzing client requirements and selecting subcontractors and suppliers. This role involves meticulous examination of project documentation and coordination with various stakeholders to ensure competitive and accurate bids.

Principal Duties:

• Analyze blueprints, plans, specifications, bid forms, scope of work, and schedules provided by clients.
• Conduct material take-offs from structural and architectural drawings.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractors, suppliers, and other installers based on criteria such as price, quality, service, support, and scheduling.
• Prepare final bid and supporting documents for submission to clients, including tender forms, bid forms, lead and quote letters.
• Manage the estimating project from initiation to completion, addressing any arising issues related to bonding, logistics, and schedule.

Requirements:

• Minimum of two years of Canadian construction estimation experience.
• Demonstrated understanding of revenue, cost, gross margin, and cash management, as well as contracts and supplementary conditions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (MS Outlook, Excel, and Word).
• Knowledge of estimating and engineering software such as Fabtrol, Revit, SDS/2, Tekla, AutoCAD, or similar tools is an asset.
• Educational background in engineering, architectural technology, civil technology, or construction management is considered advantageous.
