About the Company

Our client, a growing boutique law firm is seeking an Estates Paralegal to join their team in downtown Vancouver! This firm focuses on Tax, Trust, Estate Planning and Administration and related Litigation files.

About the Role

  • Assist in the preparation of probate applications by gathering necessary; information from clients, financial institutions, public registries, and relevant third parties as needed;
  • Maintain communication with clients, beneficiaries, and other stakeholders under the guidance of the assigned lawyer, ensuring regular updates and reports are provided throughout the estate administration process;
  • Handle the preparation of estate and trust accounts, as well as related correspondence and releases;
  • Conduct searches on online registries, including corporate registries, wills registry, and the Land Title Office;
  • Manage bookkeeping tasks and other records, along with document management responsibilities;
  • Prepare invoices and correspondence letters for clients; and
  • Collaborate with team members to track and update file progress effectively.

What You Bring

  • 3+ years of experience with Wills & Estates Planning & Administration;
  • Experience with Corporate Tax & Litigation is an asset;
  • Strong proficiency with software; and
  • Legal Administrative Assistant or Paralegal education.
