This position is a Co-op opportunity in our Engineering department from January - April 2024. The Engineering Co-op Student will assist the Engineering department with various projects in an industrial manufacturing environment. 00 per hour. Conduct research on chemical processes, materials, and technologies to support ongoing projects. Analyze data and findings to help improve existing processes and develop new solutions. Participate in process design activities, including creating process flow diagrams, P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), and equipment specifications. Monitor and ensure the quality of products or processes. Help establish and maintain quality control procedures and documentation. Contribute to the development and implementation of safety initiatives in the workplace. Collaborate on cross-functional projects and contribute to a positive team environment. Supports Operations with monitoring of chemical processes to ensure efficient operations and compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory requirements. Make recommendations for improvements to chemical processes to reduce cost and environmental impact, improve safety and productivity. Enrolled in a university degree program for engineering and must have completed at least second year of engineering. Experience in engineering is considered an asset. Technical knowledge of engineering practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
