You are known for your problem-solving skills and sense of priorities? Here's an exciting opportunity to join the DeSerres transportation and distribution team! Put your skills to work for a leading name in art supplies, hobbies and crafts in this permanent, full-time position at our Montreal head office.

As a logistic and distribution coordinator you will:

  • Ensure that merchandise is processed at the warehouse according to contract specifications, as well as through the delivery and storage system, in an efficient manor ;
  • Understand operational objectives, and participate in the implementation of necessary measures to achieve objectives and optimize processes ;
  • Monitor activities throughout the fulfillment cycle to ensure procedures are followed and deadlines are met ;
  • Collaborate with different departments for day-to-day management and special requests in order to ensure a high level of service ;
  • Complete various reports for senior management ;
  • Coordinate environmental declarations, and maintain the database;
  • Perform regular visits of the warehouse ;
  • All related tasks.

Requirements and qualifications for the position:

  • DEC in transportation logistics, operations management or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Good knowledge of transportation laws and regulations
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years' relevant experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel software
  • Experience and knowledge of warehouse operational tasks
  • Experience in negotiation
  • Knowledge of supply chain stages
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills with a strong sense of priorities
  • Ability to work under pressure, interpersonal skills, tact and diplomacy
