Position Overview:
LawDepot.com is currently expanding and looking to recruit a Manager of Product Optimization in Edmonton, Alberta. Working with the Product Marketing team, you will have the responsibility of leading a talented group of Product Specialists, driving the team's growth and improving the usability of our online products. This is a full-time permanent position, working 37.5 hours per week in a hybrid work environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of conversion optimization specialists working to develop interactive product questionnaires that allow users to customize legal documents without needing a lawyer
- Develop innovative strategies for increasing user engagement and retention
- Design process improvements for project workflow and execution
- Lead conversion optimization initiatives to achieve key business goals
- Collaborate with our Legal, Design, Development, Revenue Operations, and QA departments to drive the growth of key performance indicators (revenue, subscription renewals, conversion rate)
- Create and maintain product plans and roadmaps
- Use data analysis to inform decision making and identify areas of opportunity
- Train, coach, and mentor team members to develop a high-performance culture
- Review written product proposals, prioritize, organize, and provide direction
- Ensure that projects move smoothly through the development process
- Develop and update team writing guides and training materials
- Prepare hiring requests, interview, and select candidates for new positions
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- Post-secondary education in Communications, UX Writing, Business, Cognitive Psychology, Library Information Studies, or other relevant fields
- Proven track record of successfully managing projects and delivering in alignment with KPIs
- Experience with leading a team
- Excellent ability to communicate complicated information in a succinct way that all users can understand
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of User Experience (UX) writing, consumer psychology, online marketing, and conversion rate optimization (CRO)
- Ability to identify potential opportunities and innovative concepts
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage projects
- Ability to provide and receive clear and effective coaching and feedback
- Quality decision making and sound judgement
- Understanding of using Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Visualizations, Formulas) and Google Analytics
- Ability to manage relationships and collaborate with multiple subject matter experts
- Software development knowledge would be an asset
