Job Type: Direct Hire Accounting Our fantastic client is seeking a Financial Controller for their locally owned and managed Property Management company in downtown Calgary. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this individual will act as the pillar for the finance team empowering the department of five with collaboration, mentorship and accountability. This individual will ideally possess previous knowledge of the property management and/or real estate industry. Manage the accounting team and oversee the day-to-day accounting processes Prepare monthly financial and variance analysis reports, bank reconciliations, and facilitate quarterly meetings Compile necessary financials for year end audits Post-secondary education in Business Administration majoring in accounting or a related field Successfully complete a criminal and credit check High proficiency in MS 365 (specifically Excel and Powerpoint) Minimum 7 years of full cycle accounting experience Property management, real estate or construction/development industry experience is considered an asset Knowledge of Yardi property management software is considered an asset Ability to work within a team, building strong relationships with mentorship and collaboration This position is not remote and required to be on-site.
