Our client, a recognized boutique CPA Public Accounting Firm , is hiring a Senior Staff Accountant - Audit to join their growing Milton office.

Salary: $90,000 - $100,000 per year (depending upon experience)
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm (Full-Time)
Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for the performance and execution of all types of engagements including audits, reviews and complications.
- Preparation of year-end entries, corporate tax returns and other CRA filings.
- Engagement liaison between client, client staff and Firm staff.
- Analysis and review of personal tax returns.
- Completing personal tax returns for their customers located throughout Canada.
Requirements
- An University degree or college diploma in accounting or in business with an emphasis on accounting - accounting designation (CPA) preferred.
- Must have 3-5 years of relevant experience including work in an accounting firm servicing owner managed clients.
- Experience doing audits, reviews and compilations is a strong asset.
- Proven experience delivering high-quality client engagements while balancing productivity requirements.
- Ability to accurately analyze and reconcile accounts.
- Extensive experience in preparing personal tax returns.
- A thorough understanding of Canada's tax system and the ability to identify possible errors and/or omissions.
- Must have experience with Caseware as well as Simply Accounting and/or Quickbooks.
- Previous experience with income tax software required (experience with Cantax is an asset).
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, interpersonal and presentation) with a strong command of the English language.
- High level of attention to detail combined with strong organization and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Ability to work overtime when necessary and flexibility to work with changing priorities.
